Two convicted sex offenders were among those indicted by the January session of a Highland County grand jury on Tuesday.

Both have been charged with failure to register as a registered sex offender, which they are required to do on a regular basis. The offense is a third-degree felony.

Danny Thomas Hamilton, 53, Mount Orab, was convicted of the rape of a female juvenile in 1994, according to the Ohio Attorney General’s website on registered sex offenders. He is classified as a Tier III offender, requiring regular registration for life.

Jody Lee Watson Jr., 30, Greenfield, was convicted of fourth-degree felony unlawful sexual conduct with a minor in 2007, according to court records, and at that time was classified as a sexually-oriented offender.

Watson was also previously convicted in 2011 of failing to register as a registered sex offender and sentenced to eight months in prison, court records show.

Also indicted on Tuesday was Jacob Eddie Cowman, 22, Greenfield, on charges of third-degree felony grand theft and fifth-degree felony breaking and entering.

Cowman is also scheduled to be sentenced later this month in another case where he pled guilty to heroin trafficking.

Timika Marie Dettwiller, 24, Greenfield, has been indicted for fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of methamphetamine. She was sentenced a couple weeks ago in a separate case to community control and treatment for trafficking in meth.

There were four other people indicted on Tuesday. Following are those charged and what they were indicted on:

• Kaitlyn M. Binegar, 19, Greenfield, charged with fifth-degree felony heroin possession;

• Honey Lynn Kyle, 38, Washington C.H., charged with second-degree felony theft from a person in a protected class;

• Tracy L. O’Cull, 39, Hillsboro, charged with three counts of fifth-degree felony heroin trafficking, three counts of fifth-degree felony possession of heroin, and one count of fifth-degree felony permitting drug abuse;

• Karie C. Price, 25, Hillsboro, charged with trafficking in and possession of heroin, both fifth-degree felonies.
