Fairfield FFA competes in soils judging event

The Fairfield FFA got the opportunity to compete recently in the urban soils judging competition in Seaman. Mainly, the soils are judged by how well the soil would hold up if a structure was to be built over top of it. The team ranked 10th out of 14 teams. Out of 73 individuals, Braden Heizer placed 39th, Dale Back 42nd, Nick Evans 44th, Teigan Thackston 45th, Haven Woods 60th, and Lane Frost 67th. This young team learned a great deal on soils and looks forward to gaining more knowledge for competition next year.
