Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility have been scheduled to replace a pair of culverts situated off SR 131 next week, requiring the closure of Baker Road.
The south leg of Baker Road will be closed Tuesday through Wednesday, May 24 and 25, for crews to install a culvert at the road’s intersection with SR 131. Then, on Thursday and Friday, May 26 and 27, North Baker Road will be closed at its intersection with SR 131.
While South Baker Road is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of Leonard Road and SR 134, and while North Baker is closed, motorists will be detoured via Barker Road and SR 134.
Although SR 131 will remain open, traffic may be reduced to one lane and maintained by flaggers intermittently when crews are at work. And the schedule and completion of all work will be contigent upon the weather.
