Country performer received certificate from Ohio Secretary of State

Johnny Deans, of Hillsboro, presented country singer Rhonda Vincent with a certificate of commendation signed by Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose at the 32nd annual Brown County Bluegrass Festival on Friday, Aug. 23.

Deans is the owner of Classified Country Music Entertainment.

Vincent is a Grammy Award-winning artist and Grand Ole Opry member who performs with her band The Rage.

Vincent was also presented with a flag that flew over the Ohio Statehouse on Feb. 6, 2021, the day she was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

“This certificate of commendation is tendered on behalf of the people of the great State of Ohio as a token of our appreciation for your music and dedication to the bluegrass community,” reads the certificate. “As Ohio’s 51st Secretary of State, it is with great pride that I recognize Rhonda Vincent & The Rage for their partnership with the 32nd annual Brown County Bluegrass Festival and I extend my best wishes for many more years of continued success.”
