Corn maze, pumpkin patches open in Hillsboro

Dark Harvest Productions, located on 124, north of Hillsboro, celebrated its official grand opening with the Highland County Chamber of Commerce, along with family, friends, and members of the community on Friday, Sept. 13.

Dark Harvest Productions is owned and operated by Ron and Jen Davis and is located at 6418 State Route 124 Hillsboro, Ohio.

Dark Harvest Productions has brought a site to Hillsboro that involves activities and fun for all ages. Entertainment offered includes a corn maze of seven acres, two pumpkin patches involving pumpkins that weigh up to 500 pounds, pumpkin painting, connect four, barrel rides, a corn pit, giant tractor tires for climbing, food vendors and live dancing entertainment. At night, they offer haunted rides and trails with 43 haunt-actors starting at 7 p.m.

Dark Harvest Productions is owned and operated by Ron and Jen Davis. They have put in a tremendous amount of time bringing this new attraction to the county.

“We just wanted to bring something to the county that we didn’t have,” said Ron Davis, owner.

There is plenty of family fun during the day and teenage/adult fun after 7 p.m. Starting in November, they will offer a “Magical Christmas Wonderland” that will involve Santa, the Grinch, and family fun for all ages.
