‘Dementia Conversations’ start May 9

The Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7), Holzer Health System Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, and the Alzheimer’s Association are joining together to offer the community a virtual way to learn more about dementia to provide support to family members who may be seeking to understand more about the condition and how best to help their loved one. “Dementia Conversations” will be held from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, May 9.

Lynchburg Lions make library donations

The Lynchburg Lions Club has donated equipment to the Lynchburg Branch Library for patrons with vision problems. Thanks to the Lions, the library now has four large lighted magnifiers that can be used at a table, on your lap, or even worn around the neck. It also has four lighted magnifiers that are handheld and magnify a typical book page, and as a bonus the Lions donated some magnifying bookmarks and extra batteries.
